PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. identify new or difficult words.

2. pronounce the words correctly using correct intonation.

3. use dictionary to find the meaning of the words.

4. spell the words correctly.

5. write the dictated words correctly.

6. make sentences with the words.

 

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils can identify difficult words.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of course book and dictionary.

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.

3. Teacher asks pupils to make a list of new or difficult words in their groups.

Pupil’s Activities – Make a list of new or difficult words in their groups.

4. Teacher uses the words to introduce the lesson and writes them on the board or chart for reference.

Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of the lesson.

5. Teacher pronounces the words correctly using the right intonation.

6. Teacher guides pupils to pronounce the words correctly.

Pupil’s Activities – Repeat the words after the teacher.

7. Teacher guides pupils to find the meaning of the words using dictionary.
