By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. recite the letter of two letter words.
2. spelling and pronounce correctly.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display chart showing letter A – Z for you and the children to recite the letters.
Pupil’s Activities – Recite A – Z along with the teacher.
Teacher’s remark – One clap for yourself and comment. Write two letter words on the board with corresponding flash cards or toys of two letter words for the children to recite each letter of words repeatedly.

LESSON 2 – TRACING TWO LETTER WORDS
Repeat the activities in lesson 1 until the children blend the letters with ease. Guide them to trace two letter words correctly.
LESSON 3 – SENTENCES WITH TWO LETTER WORDS
Make simple sentences with two letter words.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Introduces vowel with consonant structure. For example – a – m, am.
Pupil’s Activities – Follow the teacher’s instructions.
3. Guides children to write thorough training two letter words or any other simple means.
Pupil’s Activities – Tracing two letter words.
4. Forms sentences with only two letter words.
Pupil’s Activities – Repeat after the teacher.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
