PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. state the problems of marriage.

2. identify 5 solutions to the problems listed.

 

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils can itemize why daddy and mummy fight at home and it is settle.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Pictures of husbands and wives – couples.

2. Pictures or photographs  that shows types of marriages.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – MEANING MARRIAGE 

Marriage is the union of a man and woman as husband and wife. Marriage between a man and a woman is legal and lawful union. It is marriage that make husband and wife to become a family. Relationships offer wonderful benefits for wellbeing, life satisfaction, and stress management, but none are without their challenges. Fortunately, these marriage problems can be worked on.

 

PROBLEMS OF MARRIAGE 

The problems of marriage include:

1. Misunderstanding

2. Sexual intimacy

3. Inability to trust one another again

4. Financial problems

5. Gossip from friends

6. Infertility

7. Time management

8. Inability to forgive one another

9. Inability to listen to one another.

10.Issues with Children

11. Daily Stress

12. Busy Schedules

13. Poor Communication

14. Bad Habits

 

 

LESSON 2 – SOLUTION TO THE MARRIAGE PROBLEMS 

The solutions to the listed problems are as follows:

7. Marriage counselling

LESSON 3 – Revision and Weekly Assessment as stated in the performance objectives or lesson evaluate

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Teacher revises the previous lesson based on the pupils related knowledge and understanding.

2. Teacher organizes tye pupils in two or more groups depending on the size of the class.

3. Teacher displays a chart or picture showing different forms disagreement between husband and his wife. For example – fighting, argument, etc.

Pupil’s Activities – The identify each form of disagreement between the husband and his wife.

4. Teacher uses the chart or picture to introduce the lesson and leads a class discussion on the problems of marriage.

5. Teacher uses the problems of marriage to leads a class discussion on the possible solutions to problems of marriage.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the class discussion on the problems of marriage and respective solutions.

6. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board using appropriate lesson.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to most of the questions and write as instructed.

 

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
