TOPIC: DIVISION OF 2 TO 3 DIGIT NUMBERS NOT MORE THAN 9
Division of two or three digit numbers by:
Lesson One – Numbers up to 9 with or without remainder
Lesson Two – Multiples of 10 up to 50
Lesson Three – Interpret and solve problems on division.
Lesson Four – Quantitative reasoning on division
TIME – 40 Minutes each.
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to divide two or three digit numbers by:
1. numbers up to 9 with or without remainder.
2. multiples of 10 up to 50.
3. solve quantitative aptitude problems involving division.
Division (divide) means sharing between two or more. It also means grouping into equal parts. This is an important part of our daily activities. The concept of division will enable pupils to understand and appreciate division as part of their daily activities.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Counting objects
2. Number lines
3. Multiplication charts
The pupils share things like money, fruits, gala, water, minerals etc. among themselves.
