PREVIOUS LESSON – EXPRESSING CONGRATULATIONS

TOPIC – Passages Based on Conservation with ‘What’ Adjectival Clauses 

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:

  1. Use correct conversion with ‘what’ adjectival clauses.
  2. Answer correctly the questions on the passage.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

  1. Course book
  2. Sentence strips
  3. Passages from other sources

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

PRESENTATION

  • To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
  1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
  2. Gives sample reading.
  3. Pupil’s Activities – Read the given passage.
  4. Asks questions that will involve the use of ‘what’ adjectives clause.
  5. Pupil’s Activities – Give answers to the questions on the passage provided. Construct sentences using ‘what’ adjectival clause.

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
  • Next Lesson – Observing and report things

LESSON EVALUATION 

Pupils to:

  1. Use ‘what’ adjectives clause correctly in sentences.
  2. Give answers to the questions on the passage.
  3. Use the clauses in their own sentences.
