CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES

Teacher’s Activities – Get fruits that can be easily divided into two equal parts. Pair the children and give each pair a fruit. Tell the children that each fruit be share among their pair. Cut the fruit and let them know that each part is half.

Note – Let the children take the fruits. 

Pupil’s Activities – Recognise their part as half.

 

SIMPLE MEANING OF FRACTION

Teacher’s Activities – Get a cardboard circle, carefully engage the children in activities that involve division of the objects into two (2).
