PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. identify the parts of a human body.

2. describe the parts of a human body .

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The head, ears, eyes, etc.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

Chart showing different parts of the human body with labels.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Based on the previous lesson -, asks the pupils to state the parts of the heads, chest, hands and legs. Displays a chart showing parts of the heads, chest, hands and legs to support their response.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify each part of human body.

Teacher’s remark – Note each part identified by the pupils as follows –

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Uses charts to describe parts of the human body.

3. Brings out a pupil and touch different parts of the body.

4. Asks pupils to touch different parts of their body.

Pupil’s Activities – Mention and touch the parts of the human body as shown by the teacher.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
