PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. pronounce the Arabic Alphabets correctly.

2. identify each of the alphabets.

 

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

Some pupils can read and identify Arabic Alphabet.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. A cardboard on which the Alphabets are boldly written.

2. Flash cards.

3. Information technology devices.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

LESSON 1 – READING AND IDENTIFICATION

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Writes the alphabets boldly on board.

3. Pronounces the alphabets and asks the pupils to do so several times.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher’s pronunciation attentively.

4. Uses flash card to guide pupils to recognise and identify it.

Pronounce the alphabets trying as much as possible to imitate their teacher.

5. Guides pupils to identify and write the alphabets.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify and write the alphabets.

6. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
