LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils have already learned how to read simple passages and answer questions based on them. In this lesson, they will build on that knowledge by identifying important points from a passage and using them to write meaningful sentences.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
Basic Reading is the ability to read simple words, sentences, and passages correctly and understand their meanings.
While, Guided Writing is a writing activity in which the teacher provides clues, points, pictures, or information to help pupils write correct sentences or short paragraphs.
READING PASSAGE
1. MY PET DOG
I have a pet dog named Bingo. Bingo is brown and very friendly. He likes playing with me after school. Every morning, I give him food and clean water. He helps to guard our house at night. I love Bingo because he is loyal and playful.
POINTS FROM THE PASSAGE

GUIDED WRITING

My school is Greenfield Primary School. It is located in a quiet environment. The school has many classrooms, a library, and a playground. The teachers are hardworking and friendly.
Every morning, pupils assemble for the morning devotion before going to their classrooms. We learn many subjects such as English, Mathematics, Basic Science, and Social Studies.
I love my school because it helps me learn good behaviour and acquire knowledge.

IMPORTANCE OF BASIC READING AND GUIDED WRITING

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
