Computers are used in almost every profession today. Many people use their computer knowledge and skills to work in schools, banks, hospitals, businesses, industries, and government offices. These jobs help to develop technology, solve problems, and improve people’s lives.

In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of career opportunities in computer, identify different computer-related careers, understand the work performed by computer professionals, and appreciate the importance of computer careers in society.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN COMPUTER

Career opportunities in computer refer to the different jobs and professions that involve the use of computers, information technology, and digital skills. These careers help people design, develop, maintain, repair, and use computer systems to solve problems and provide services.

People who choose computer careers usually receive special training and acquire computer skills.
