MEANING OF VALUES

Values are good behaviours and principles that guide how we act and live with other people. Values that promote peace are good behaviours that help people live together without fighting or quarrelling.

 

TYPES OF VALUES THAT PROMOTE PEACE

1. Love is caring for others and showing kindness.

2. Tolerance is accepting people’s differences and opinions.

3. Respect is treating others politely and fairly.

4. Honesty is telling the truth and being trustworthy.

5. Cooperation is working together peacefully.

6. Patience is being calm and not quick to anger.

7. Fairness is treating everyone equally.

8. Forgiveness is letting go of anger and avoiding revenge.
