LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
COOKING TOOLS
Cooking tools are known as kitchen utensils.
A kitchen utensil is a small hand cooking tool used for food preparation.

Cooking equipments are manual or automatic kitchen equipments used for food processing, cooking, baking, and freezing.

LESSON 2 – CLEANING AGENTS FOR CLEANING COOKING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS
Cleaning agents for cooking tools and equipments are substances used to remove dirt, dust and stains from cooking tools and equipments.
TYPES OF CLEANING AGENTS FOR COOKING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS
There are four (4) types of cleaning agents are used for cleaning cooking tools and equipments –
1. Detergents
2. Degreasers
3. Abrasives
5. Acids
DETERGENT
A detergent is the most common type of cleaning agent used in home and commercial kitchens.
It is in form of powder, liquid, gel or crystals.
DEGREASER
A degreaser is a cleaning agent used to remove grease, oils, fluids, etc. from surface of cooking equipments.
They are also known as solvent cleaners.
ABRASIVE
Abrasive is cleaning agent used by rubbing or scrubbing dirt from the hard surfaces.
They are most used to clean the pots and pans.
ACID CLEANER
Acid cleaner is know as acidic solution used to remove inorganic deposits like scaling.
MAKING LIQUID CLEANING AGENTS
Gets materials for making liquid soap or asks for help from colleagues who know how to make liquid soaps.
PRESENTATION
