CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

INTRODUCTION 

CONCEPT OF CALCULATOR

Calculator is a common ICT Devices used for addition, subtraction, division and multiplication of numbers.

 

 

USES OF CALCULATOR 

Calculator is used for –

1. Addition of numbers

2. Subtraction of numbers

3. Division of numbers

4. Multiplication of numbers

5. Solving other mathematical problems such as squares, square roots, etc

 

Note – asks the pupils to state the uses of calculator and note their point on the board or chart. 

 

PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION OF USES OF CALCULATOR 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities

Lets the pupils demonstrate the stated uses of calculator.

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays real objects or pictures of common ICT Devices – calculator.

Pupil’s Activities – Touch and identify common ICT devices – calculator.

3. Asks pupils to state the uses of calculator.

Pupil’s Activities – State the uses of calculator.

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Demonstrate the uses of calculator.

 

CONCLUSION
