CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
A conclusion paragraph is the final paragraph in a composition. It ends the writing and gives a final remark or summary of the topic.
FEATURES OF A CONCLUSION PARAGRAPH
A conclusion paragraph:
1. comes at the end of a composition.
2. summarizes the main idea.
3. may give advice or opinion.
4. brings the writing to a proper ending.
5. should be short and clear.
IMPORTANCE OF A CONCLUSION PARAGRAPH
1. It gives a complete ending to the composition.
2. It helps the reader understand the final message.
3. It summarizes the writer’s ideas.

GUIDELINES FOR WRITING A CONCLUSION PARAGRAPH
1. Do not introduce new ideas.
2. Summarize the topic clearly.
3. Use simple and correct sentences.
4. End the composition politely or meaningfully.
5. Keep it short.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils questions about introductory and middle paragraphs.
Pupils’ Activities: The pupils respond to the teacher’s questions and explain what they know about paragraph writing.
2. The teacher organizes the pupils into groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.
Pupils’ Activities: Each pupil belongs to a group.
3. The teacher displays charts containing examples of conclusion paragraphs for the pupils to read and discuss.
