This lesson builds on that knowledge by teaching pupils the consequences of not reporting suspicious activities and the right authorities to whom such activities should be reported.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

Sometimes people see suspicious activities but choose not to report them because they think someone else will do it or because they are afraid. However, failing to report suspicious activities can lead to crime, injuries, or damage to property. Every pupil should know the importance of reporting suspicious activities to the right authorities so that help can come quickly and lives and property can be protected.

In this lesson, pupils will learn the consequences of not reporting suspicious activities or movements, the right authorities to report to, and why reporting suspicious activities promptly is important.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES

Reporting suspicious activities means telling the right people about unusual or dangerous activities so that they can take action quickly.

CONSEQUENCES OF NOT REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES OR MOVEMENTS

If suspicious activities are not reported:

1. Criminals may escape.

2. People may be injured.

3, Lives may be lost.

4. Property may be stolen or destroyed.

SUMMARY
