CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

Consonant sounds are speech sounds made when the airflow is blocked or restricted by the lips, teeth, or tongue.

Examples of consonant sounds include:

  • /f/ as in fish
  • /v/ as in van
  • /ʃ/ as in ship
  • /ʧ/ as in chair

Words containing consonant sounds can be used to form meaningful sentences.
