PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. state the dangers of not caring for the mouth.
2. mention the dangers of using other people’s toothbrush or chewing sticks.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can state the reason for mouth odour and tooth decay.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing tooth decay and infection.

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display chart showing tooth decay decay, discolouration and mouth infection for the pupils to examine and describe the contents of the chart.
Pupil’s Activities – Pupil’s views.
Teacher’s Activities – Good job for active participation. The chart shows different dangers of not caring for the mouth and using other people’s brushes or chewing sticks. Discuss in details and note on the board.

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Discuss the dangers of sharing teeth cleaning materials.

3. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
