3. write down the dictated words.

4. make simple sentences with each of the words.

WORDS AND MEANINGS

1. Rebel – A person who fights against authority or refuses to obey rules.

2. Investigate – To examine or study something carefully to discover the truth.

3. Argue – To disagree or speak angrily with someone.

4. Pollute – To make air, water, or land dirty and harmful.

5. Incubator – A special device used to keep babies, eggs, or living things warm and safe.

6. Dazzle – To impress or surprise greatly with brightness, beauty, or skill.

7. Mentor – A wise and experienced person who guides or teaches another person.

8. Odor – A smell, especially an unpleasant one.

9. Maggot – The soft worm-like young form of a fly.

10. Freedom – The state of being free and able to act without unnecessary control.

MAKING SENTENCES WITH EACH WORD

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson by asking pupils questions on words and meanings they have learned earlier.

Pupils’ Activities: The pupils respond to the teacher’s questions and mention meanings of familiar words.

2. The teacher organizes the pupils into groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.

Pupils’ Activities: Each pupil belongs to a group.

3. The teacher writes the selected words on the board and pronounces them correctly for the pupils to repeat.

Pupils’ Activities: The pupils listen attentively and repeat the words after the teacher.

4. The teacher uses the words on the board to explain their meanings clearly with examples.

Pupils’ Activities: The pupils pay attention to the lesson, understand the meanings, and give examples where necessary.
