By the end of the lesson, most of the students should have attained the following objectives –
1. name the elements of drama.
2. identify the elements in a given drama.
3. create any of the elements.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of boards, video/audio recorded drama, textbook, notebooks.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
ELEMENTS OF DRAMA
1. Script/improvisation (plot, diction)
Scripts are written and unwritten drama/roles to be performed.
2. Characterization
Characterization is the character perform or display in a play.
3. Stage (setting)
Stage is a platform above the floor or ground where play is acted.
4. Actors/Actresses
They are males and females that act play.
5. Audience
Audiences are people that are watching the play in the theatre.
5. Sound (songs, music, sound effect)
Sound is the voices of actors and actresses that act in a play. This also include musical sound.
6. Lights
Lights are different kinds of light being used in the play.
CREATING ELEMENTS IN DRAMA
Calls on students to organize and demonstrate some of the elements of drama.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the students some questions; then, the teacher –
2. Writes and explains the different elements of drama on board.
Student’s Activities – Listen to the explanations of different elements of drama and take down notes.
3. Shows the video recording of a drama.
Student’s Activities – Watch video recorded drama.
4. Guides students to identify the elements in the drama shown.
Student’s Activities – Identify the elements of drama in the drama shown.
5. Calls on students to demonstrate some of the elements of drama.
Student’s Activities – Demonstrate or explain some of the elements.
6. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Student’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.

Ask students to:
1. list three elements of drama.
2. identify three elements of drama in the recommended drama shown.
3. create any two elements of drama.
