English Studies – Primary 6 Weekly Short Class Lesson Notes for Second Term

WEEK 5 – WRITING: WRITE A EXPOSITORY ESSAY/COMPOSITION

AN EXPOSITORY ESSAY – SAFE WATER

Safe water is clean water that is good for drinking and cooking. It is water that does not contain dirt, germs, or harmful substances. Safe water is very important for our health and daily life.

Safe water can come from wells, boreholes, taps, and rainwater when properly treated. Before drinking water, it should be boiled or filtered to kill germs. Clean containers should be used to store water to keep it safe.

Drinking safe water helps to prevent diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhoea. When people drink dirty water, they can fall sick and miss school or work. Safe water also helps us to cook clean food and wash our hands properly.

In conclusion, safe water is necessary for everyone. We should protect our water sources, keep our surroundings clean, and always make sure the water we drink is safe.
