iv. 1 1/8 + 2 1/8 + 3 2/5 = 9/8 + 17/8 + 17/5

= 26/8 + 17/5 = 13/4 + 17/5 = (65 + 68)/20

= 133/20 = 6 13/20

v. 16 1/3 − 13 1/3 = (16 – 13) + (1/3 – 1/3) = 3

5c. 3/5 – 3/7 = (21 – 15)/35 = 6/35
