PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to – filling the basket with ball and bottle with water.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can scribble on paper.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of –

1. Ball

2. Basket

3. Plastic bottle

4. Bucket of water

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Group the children and guide them to throw a ball.

Pupil’s Activities – Throwing ball.

Teacher’s Remark – Comments and give a great cheer for paying attention. Group and guide the children to perform other games such as –

1. Climb a table

2. Clap (clap 1, clap 2, clap 3, etc.)

3. Play a music for the to dance.

 

LESSON 2 – FILLING THE BASKET

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guide the children on how to fill a basket with ball.

LESSON 3 – FILLING THE BOTTLE

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guide the children on how to fill a bottle with water.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides pupils in group games like throwing ball, climbing, clapping and dancing.

Pupil’s Activities – Active participation in throwing ball, climbing, clapping and dancing.

3. Guides pupils to fill the basket with balls and bottle with water.

Pupil’s Activities – Fill the basket with balls and bottle with water.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
