PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. mention different types of toilets.
2. mention items found in a toilet.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can identify and state the uses of different items found in the toilet.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. A chart showing types of toilets, water, soap, toilet paper and towel for drying the hands.
2. School toilet.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display sample or chart different items found in the toilet for the pupils to identify and state their uses.
Pupil’s Activities – Broom is used for sweeping and washing the toilet, etc.
Pupil’s Activities – Correct, Each of the item identified are items found in the toilet and they are used to maintain the toilet hygiene. Take pupils to visit the school toilets to verify some of these items. Note each item identified on the board.

ASSIGNMENT
Find out 2 ways to maintain toilet hygiene.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Take pupils to visit the school toilets.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify items found in the toilet.
3. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
