CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
MEANING OF SIN AND FORGIVENESS
Sin is an offence against God.
Forgiveness means pardon.
FORGIVENESS OF SIN
Forgiveness of sin is the pardon you received from God for the sin against him.
JESUS HAS THE POWER TO FORGIVE SINS
Reading – mark 2 : 1 – 12
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,
11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO RECEIVED FORGIVENESS OF SIN
1. The prodigal son, Luke 15 : 11 – 24,
He repented and received forgiveness.
2. The paralysed man, Mark 2 : 1 – 12,
Paralysed man received forgiveness of his sin and got healed.
LESSON 2 – WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Asks pupils to explain what they understand about sin and forgiveness.
