CONTENT OF THE LESSON
AUDITORY PROCESSING
A sound is anything that can be heard. Music, the barking of a dog, the wailing of a siren, and the voice of a friend are all sounds.
We hear and listen with our ears.
Sound can be high or low.
SOUNDS IN THE ENVIRONMENT
Environmental sounds are sounds that surround us in our everyday lives, including natural and man-made sounds. They can be faint, like birdsong, or loud, like music or industrial noise.

6. Objects like iron, drum, whistle, etc.
LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. Teacher displays sample/chart showing bell, drum, microphone, mp3 player, etc. for the children to identify and describe their uses.
Children’s Activities – The children identify and describe bell, drum, microphone, mp3 player, etc. for the children to identify and describe their uses.
2. Teacher uses the sample/chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson and uses mp3 player to play the sound of animals like dog and goat, sound a baby, bell, etc. for them identify by listening.
Children’s Activities – The children identity animals sounds, baby sound, etc.
3. Teacher summarizes the lesson by asking the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.
Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
LESSON EVALUATION/HOMEWORK
Teacher asks the children to demonstrate common sounds in the environment such as bell, drum, dog, good, horn, police car siren, etc.
