The pupils can differentiate between safety and security.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of showing safety and security devices.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

DIFFERENT BETWEEN SAFETY AND SECURITY 

SAFETY

Safety means keeping yourself and others free from harm or danger. That’s being careful not to fall, bump or run into things.

The main goals of safety are –

1. To prevent accidents and incidents.

2. To improve working conditions.

3. To reduce impact on health.

 

 

While, 

 

 

SECURITY

Security is the state of being free from all dangers or harms at home, in the school or anywhere you are. That’s, feeling safe at all time.

The main goals of security are –

1. To prevent abuse or misuse.

2. To prevent or stop unwanted guests or attacks.

3. To protect lives and properties.

 

 

LESSON 2 – SAFETY AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT

MEANING OF SAFETY MANAGEMENT 

Safety management is the process of preventing harms or dangers by applying safety rules.

 

MEANING OF SECURITY MANAGEMENT 

Security management is the process of managing the existing safety of lives and properties at all time.

 

 

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST) 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or understanding.

2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups depending on the size of the class with appropriate writing materials.

3. Teacher displays sample (if available) or chart showing safety and security devices.

4. Teacher lets the pupils to examine and discuss their Uses.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils identify and describe the uses of safety and security devices.

5. Teacher uses the instructional materials and the pupil’s appropriate responses to introduce the lesson and leads a discussion on the different between safety and security.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively in discussing the different between safety and security.

6. Teacher explains the meaning of safety and security management.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils listen to the teacher’s explanation and analyze their relevant in the society.

7. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board with appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summarizes of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the lesson evaluation and write as instructed.

 

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
