CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION TO SECURITY MANAGEMENT 

Security management is the process of managing the existing safety of lives and properties at all time.

 

 

MEANING OF PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES IN SECURITY MANAGEMENT 

Precautionary measures are actions taken in order to prevent something dangerous or unpleasant from happening.

Precautionary measures in security management are the actions taken to make sure that lives and properties are secured.

 

 

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES IN SECURITY MANAGEMENT 

The following are some of the precautionary measures in security management –

1. Set up a security system and alarm

2. Secure the doors and windows.

3. Lock the lock and windows when you are not at home.

4. Light up your environment.

5. Dispose unwanted materials.

6. Password all your electronic devices and Wi-Fi network.

7. Add security cameras.

8. Get a security dog.

9. Employ the service of security personnel for authorized organization.

10. Report stranger movements to appropriate authorities.

 

 

LESSON 2 – PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES IN SECURITY MANAGEMENT (CONTINUATION) 

11. Do not keep valuable items near your windows whether close or open. Do same inside your car and office.

12. Know your neighbors, colleagues at work and your friends and family as well in order to watch each other’s homes.

13. Cut the resident grass, rake the leaves and dispose appropriately.

14. Lock up all ladders and tools a burglar could use to gain entry.

15..Be mindful of anything unusual in your residence when returning home. If you suspect a break-in, do not enter – call police.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or understanding.

2. Teacher organizes the pupils in groups depending on the size of the class with appropriate writing materials.

3. Teacher leads pupils as groups to discuss security tips at home, school and the society.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils make a list of security tips at home, school and the society.

4. Teacher uses the pupils responses to introduce the lesson and explains the meaning of precautionary measures in security.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and analyze the importance of precautionary measures in security management in their home, school and the society.

5. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board with appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in the summarizes of the lesson by responding correctly to most of the lesson evaluation and write as instructed.

 

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
