WEEK 10

PRIMARY 4

TOPIC – MEASURING THE VOLUME OF SOLID

LEARNING AREA

  • Lesson One – Introduction to Solids
  • Lesson Two – Measuring Regular Solids
  • Lesson Three – Measuring Irregular Solids
  • Revision and Test

TIME – 40 Minutes each.

LEARNING OUTCOME

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should be able to:

1. differentiate between solid and non solid materials.

2. identify regular and irregular solids.

3. measure the volume of regular solids;

4. measure the volume of irregular solids.

RATIONALE

Solids are something strong or hard. There are two (2) of solid – regular and irregular solids. Measurement is the action of measuring something. Volume is the space that is enclosed by a vessel or occupied by a substance.
