LESSON 1 – LETTER WORDS
ONE LETTER WORD – A
A one letter word is a word composed of a single letter. For example, A and I.
A is single letter word means 1. It is used to describe the quantity of an object or thing.
For example,
A book – one book, A book is used instead of one book.
A pen – one pen, A pen is used instead of one pen.
A bag – one bag, A bag is used instead of one bag.
ONE LETTER WORD – I
I is also a single letter word used to describe or identify a person.
For example,
I am a boy.
I am a girl.
I am happy.
I can fly.
LESSON 2 – TWO LETTER WORDS
Two letter words are made of two alphabetical letters. The common two letter words are –
am, an, as, at, ax,
be, by, do, go, he,
if, in, is, it, me, my,
no, of, ok, on, or, ox,
so, to, up, us, we.
The common two letter words that mostly used by Kindergarten age everyday are,

LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. Teacher displays showing alphabetical letter A – Z.
2. Teacher points to each letter one after the other for the children to identify.
Children’s Activities – The children identity letter A – Z.
3. Teacher uses the sample/chart displayed to introduce lesson and guides the children to identify one, two and three letter words.

4. Teacher guides the children to spell and pronounce two and three letter words correctly.
