PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. Read paragraph from children’s novel.

2. Identify the characters.

3. Specify the main theme(s).

4. Identify the positive values in the story.

1. Children’s novels suitable for the level.

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupils related knowledge and understanding.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the lesson review.

2. Reads paragraphs.

Pupil’s Activities – Reads paragraphs.

3. Explains the main ideas characters.

Pupil’s Activities – Answer questions on the main ideas characters.

4. Guides pupils to identify the main characters and minor characters.

5. Discuss the theme and subject.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the discussion of the theme and subject.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
