CONTENT OF THE LESSON
READING PASSAGE: MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION
Transportation refers to the movement of people, animals, and goods from one place to another. There are three major means of transportation: land, water, and air.
Land transportation includes vehicles such as cars, buses, bicycles, motorcycles, and trains. These are used on roads and railways to move people and goods from one place to another within towns and cities.
Water transportation involves the use of boats, canoes, ships, and ferries. These are used on rivers, lakes, and seas to carry passengers and goods, especially over long distances.
Air transportation is the fastest means of transport. It includes airplanes and helicopters. Air transport is used to travel quickly from one country to another or from one city to another.
Each means of transportation has its advantages. Transportation helps in trade, travel, and communication, making life easier for everyone.
