CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

Personal security is an extra caution taken to ensure your personal safety at all time.

 

 

PERSONAL SECURITY PRECAUTIONS 

Security precautions are the actions taken to ensure your personal safety at all time.

The security tips or precautions are as follows:

1. Avoid suspicious or dangerous places at night.

2. Call for help in case of emergency.

3. Stay away from stranger.

4. Lock the door(s) and window(s) properly.

5. Memorize a parent’s, family’s or friend’s phone number.

6. Don’t Carry too much of cash with you.

7. Stay cautious of crowds.

8. Always lockup when you are at home or in the car.

 

 

LESSON 2 – IMPORTANCE/REASONS FOR PERSONAL SECURITY 

The reasons for personal security are as follows:

1. For personal safety.

2. To avoid crimes/criminals.

3. For peace of mind.

4. For quick medical assistance.

5. For excellent security insight.

6. To safeguard you from crimes and criminals.

7. To prevents unwanted guests around your premises.

8. To defend yourself.

9. In case of emergency.

 

 

LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Teacher revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or understanding.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the lesson review.

2. Teacher asks pupils in groups or pairs to state the reasons why people lock their doors at night or when they are not at home.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils state the reasons why people lock their doors at night or when they are not at home.

3. Teacher uses pupil’s responses to the introduce and leads a class discuss the personal security tips or precautions.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively in the class discussion.
