PREVIOUS LESSON – Meaning of Mosaics (Primary 5)

TOPIC: MOSAICS 

 

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

make mosaic to reflect the ills against – exam malpractice, HIV/AIDS,  cultism, etc.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR

The pupils are required to already have learned mosaic.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON 

INTRODUCTION

Mosaic is the art of putting together small pieces of materials (stone, tile, glass, etc.) to produce artwork.

These artworks are used for decoration on walls, cardboard, plywood or floor.

 

PRODUCTION OF MOSAICS REFLECTING ONE OF THE LISTED ILLS IN THE SOCIETY 

1. Exam malpractice

2. HIV/AIDS

3. Cultism

4. Ghost

5. Mermaid

6. Half human half animal

7. Clergyman smoking

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Asks pupils to produce mosaic reflecting the ills of the society.

Pupil’s Activities –  Produce mosaic reflecting one the ills in the society, e.g. exam malpractice.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.

 

LESSON EVALUATION

Pupils to: produce mosaic against one of the ills of society.
