MEANING OF SCRATCH PROGRAMMING
Scratch is a block-based programming tool used to create animations, stories, and conversations by joining blocks together.
SCRATCH PROGRAMMING IN THE COMMUNITY
Scratch can be used to show activities in the community, such as:
1. Conversation between friends
2. Greetings and good behaviour
3. Helping one another
4. School and market scenes
MEANING OF CONVERSATION
A conversation is a talk between two or more people. In Scratch, a conversation happens when sprites talk to each other using speech bubbles.
EXAMPLES OF COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
1. Friends greeting each other

4. Neighbours discussing daily activities

1. Events Blocks – When green flag clicked – starts the program
2. Looks Blocks – Say – makes the sprite talk, Say for 2 seconds – controls how long the message stays
3. Control Blocks – Wait – gives time before the next speech
4. Motion Blocks (Optional) – Used to move sprites while talking

1. Open Scratch.
2. Choose two sprites.
3. Click When green flag clicked.
4. Use Say block for Sprite 1.
5. Add Wait 2 seconds.
6. Use Say block for Sprite 2.
7. Continue until the conversation ends.
