CONTENT OF THE LESSON
READING PASSAGE: Travelling by Road, Rail, Air and Sea
Travelling is the movement of people and goods from one place to another. People travel for many reasons such as work, business, education, and leisure.
There are different means of transportation. One of them is road transport. Road transport includes cars, buses, bicycles, and motorcycles. It is the most common means of transportation because roads connect many towns and cities.
Another means of transportation is rail transport. Rail transport uses trains that move on railway tracks. Trains can carry many passengers and goods at the same time.
Air transport involves travelling by aeroplane or helicopter. It is the fastest means of transportation and is mostly used for long-distance journeys.
Sea transport involves travelling by ships, boats, or canoes on water. It is important for transporting goods and people across rivers, seas, and oceans.
Each means of transportation has its advantages. They help people travel safely and conveniently from one place to another.
