LESSON PRESENTATION

To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Teacher displays object number or chart showing number 1 – 7 for the children to identify and write/trace.

Children’s Activities – The children identify number 1 – 7 and write/trace them.

2. Teacher uses the sample/chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson and guides the children to identify and write/trace number 1 – 7 correctly.

Children’s Activities – The children identity and write/trace number 1 – 7 correctly.

3. Teacher scatters number 1 – 7, guides and leads the children to write them in order.

Children’s Activities – The children rewrite the number in order.

4. Teacher displays counting objects and guides the children to identify each of them and write their number.

Children’s Activities – The children identify each of the objects and write their number.

5. Teacher guides and leads the children to make lines and strokes, count and write their equivalent number.

Children’s Activities – The children make and count the number of lines and strokes made.

6. Teacher summarizes the lesson by asking the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.

Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
