PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
imitate sound of alphabet, number and animals rhymes.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display ABC object and play song of alphabetical letters for the pupils to watch and listen, probably sing but don’t force while they are watch or listening. Put the song in a repeat mode.
Pupil’s Activities – Watch, listen and sing.
Teacher’s Remark – Comments and give a great cheer for paying attention. Encourage the children to sing and follow the rhymes.
NUMBER RHYMES
Teacher’s Activities – Play song of number rhymes for the pupils to watch and listen, probably sing but don’t force while they are watch or listening. Put the song in a repeat mode.
Pupil’s Activities – Watch, listen and sing.
Teacher’s Remark – Comments and give a great cheer for paying attention. Encourage the children to sing and follow the rhymes.
LESSON 2 – ANIMAL RHYMES
Teacher’s Activities – Display 123 objects and play familiar animal sound for the pupils to watch and listen, probably imitate but don’t force while they are watch or listening. Put the song in a repeat mode.
Pupil’s Activities – Watch, listen and imitate.
Teacher’s Remark – Comments and give a great cheer for paying attention. Encourage the children to imitate and follow the rhymes.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Plays and sing letter of alphabetical, number and animal rhymes.
Pupil’s Activities – Watch, listen and sing (imitate).
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
