PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives – draw shapes of different sizes.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can identify basic shapes, draw and colour.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of real objects of different shapes and sizes, pencils, drawing books, pictures of objects showing different shapes and sizes.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Week 1 – MEANING OF DRAWING
Drawing is a form of visual art.
Drawing is the act of making pictures of living things like human beings, animals and plants.
Also, drawing is the act of making pictures of non – living things on drawing papers, cardboards, etc.
Drawing can be big pictures or small small ones. Sometimes, it is medium pictures.
DRAWING MATERIALS
The materials needed for drawing are –
- Pencil
- Ink
- Easer
- Ruler
- Crayon
- Paper
- Chalk
- Marker
- Pen
- Charcoal, etc.
LESSON 2 – DRAWING OBJECTS
Drawing shapes of different object. For example, big and small –
- Circle
- Triangle
- Square
- Rectangle, etc. for the pupils to draw and colour.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Draws the basic shapes – squares, rectangles, circle, etc. on the board.
3. Lets pupils identify the shapes you drawn.
4. Asks pupils to draw similar shapes of objects in their exercise book and on the cardboard.
Pupil’s Activities – Draw different shapes and sizes of objects.
5. Appreciates and display some of the basic shapes drawing on the wall.
6. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher instructed.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.

Ask pupils to:
