PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to uses the computer to save or store information.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can play games on mobile devices.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Computer

2. Paper

3. Learning software

4. Printer

5. Items produced with the computer such as drawings, paintings, print-outs, books, etc.

 

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

WRITING INSTRUCTION 

Copy as I write or draw as I write. This instruction should be given when you need the pupils to write or draw.

 

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – In group or pair, instruct the pupils to type simple text as taught in one of the previous classes.

Pupil’s Activities – Type texts.

Teacher’s remark – Information not save on the computer cannot be retrieve. It is very important to save the texts you have typed.

 

STORE INFORMATION ON COMPUTER 

 

 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guide the pupils to use the computer to save or store their texts.

 

LESSON 2 – STORE INFORMATION ON COMPUTER 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Repeat the activities in lesson 1 for lesson evaluation.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides pupils to use the computer to play games, type text, watch educational films, etc.

Pupil’s Activities – Use the computer to store information.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
