LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Transportation is the movement of people and goods from one place to another by land, air and water.
TECHNOLOGY IN TRANSPORTATION
There are many technologies used in transportation,
1. Bicycles
2. Motorcycles
3. Cars
4. Buses
5. Boats
6. Ships
7. Aeroplane
8. Helicopters
9. Trains
10. Animals
MEANS OF TRANSPORTATIONS
There are different means of transportations,
1. Land transportation
2. Air transportation
3. Water transportation
MEANING AND MEANS OF LAND TRANSPORTATION
Land transportation is the movement of people and goods from one place to another by land.
FORMS OF LAND TRANSPORTATION
There are two (2) forms of land transportation.
1. Roads
2. Rail Transportation
TECHNOLOGY IN ROAD TRANSPORTATION
The following are technologies used on road transportation,
1. Bicycles
2. Motorcycles
3. Cars
4. Buses, etc.
LESSON 2 – AIR TRANSPORTATION
Air transportation is the movement of people and goods from one place to another by aeroplane, helicopters, jets, etc.
TECHNOLOGY IN AIR TRANSPORTATION
The following are technologies in Air transportation,
1. Aeroplane
2. Helicopters
3. Space ships
4. Jets, etc.
OLD MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION VERSUS THE NEW ONES
Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class to discuss and analyzes the means of transportation in the olden days with the modern days.
BENEFITS OF MODERN TRANSPORTATION
The following are the benefits of modern transportation,
1. It is faster.
2. It is safer.
3. It is more comfortable.
4. It is easier.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the size of the class.
3. Teacher displays chart showing different means of transportation on land and in the air.
4. Teacher asks pupils to identify each mean of transportation and classify them as land and air transportations.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify each mean of transportation and classify them as land and air transportations.
5. Teacher uses the chart and pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson.
Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of the lesson.
6. Teacher leads a discussion on the meaning and means of land and air transportations.
Pupil’s Activities – Differentiate between land and air transportation.
7. Teacher guides pupils to identify and differentiate between old means of transportation. For example, the use of animals and modern technology in transportation.

8. Teacher summarizes the lessons on the board with appropriate lesson evaluation.
