CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Technology is the use of knowledge to create new devices or tools.
Technology has made people’s lives and work easier.
Electricity is a modern technology and a form of energy that makes most other technologies to work.
MEANING OF ELECTRICITY
Electricity is a technology that can give other technologies the ability to work or move.
Any technology that depends on electricity is called electric gadgets.
MEANING OF ELECTRIC GADGETS
Electric gadgets are appliances which work on electricity.
For example,
1. Television
2. Radio
3. Fan
4. Electric cooker
5. Fridge
6. Bulbs, etc.
LESSON 2 – IMPORTANCE OF ELECTRICITY
The importance of electricity are as follows:
1. Lighting
2. Heating
3. Cooling and refrigeration
4. Computers
5. Electronics
6. Machinery
7. Public transportation systems, etc.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEK LESSON ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the size of the class.
3. Teacher displays sample or chart showing electric gadgets.
4. Teacher asks pupils to identify and demonstrate how some of the electric gadgets work.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify and demonstrate how some of the electric gadgets work.
5. Teacher uses the samples or chart to introduce the lesson and discuss the meaning of electricity and electric gadgets with appropriate examples.
Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of electricity and electric gadgets.
6. Teacher guides pupils to identify and state the uses of electricity.
Pupil’s Activities – Analyze the importance of electricity in their communities.
7. Teacher summarizes the lessons on the board with appropriate lesson evaluation.
