Identify and Draw the Treble Staff
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. sing the songs on the importance of education.
2. identify and draw the treble clef on the staff.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

Teacher’s Activities – Plays songs or leads pupils to sing songs about the importance of education

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the songs.
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Leads pupils to identify the importance of the two songs.
1. To be hard work.
2. Nobody should be lazy.
3. Anyone that does not want to work become a thief.
4. Farming is a good work.
5. It teaches us the importance of farming.
6. Education that does not include farming is not complete.
7. Education is the best policy.
8. It encourages our parents to take care of our education.

Teacher’s remark – The is called the treble clef.
THE TREBLE STAFF
A staff is a set of lines and spaces which indicate the pitch of written notes. It is made up of five lines and four spaces. The lines and spaces have letter names.
One of staff is called treble clef, it shows you the notes to play with your right hand.
The Treble Clef is the top set of lines, the staff and found on each line or space.
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Draw the treble clef
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Plays songs or leads pupils to sing songs about the importance of education.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the songs and state the importance of education according to the songs.
3. Lets the pupils examine the treble clef and explains the uses with them.
Pupil’s Activities – Examine the treble clef and explains the uses with them.
4. Teacher’s/Activities – Draw the treble clef.
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
