TOPIC – ROAD MARKINGS AND THEIR COLOURS
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
identify road markings and their colours.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of lego set/bricks.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Takes the pupils out to the nearest major road with different makings. Asks the observe and identify different markings on the road.
Also, asks them to describe the road marking.
ROAD MARKINGS AND THEIR COLOURS
LESSON TWO – DRAWING AND PAINTING ROAD MARKINGS
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Takes the pupils out to the nearest road to identify, observe and describe the Makings on the road.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify, observe and describe the Makings on the road.
3. Supervises pupils in drawing and painting of road markings.
Pupil’s Activities – Draws and Colour road markings.
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
