LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Display a functional computer system (if available) or chart showing computer monitor and printer for the pupils to identify computer monitor as output device and compare the monitor with television.

Pupil’s response – Identify and describe computer monitor.

Teacher’s remark – Computer monitor is an output device that looks like television and display data inform of pictures. Give a great cheer for active response and comparison. Discuss the meaning of computer monitor and its uses.

MEANING OF COMPUTER MONITOR 

 

 

A computer monitor is an output device that displays information in pictorial form.

It looks like television but not television.

 

USES OF COMPUTER MONITOR 

The main uses of computer monitors is to display information or data in image or video.

 

LESSON 2 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES

Teacher’s Activities – Display a functional computer with printer for the pupils to identify as an output device and guide them to printer documents or images shown on the monitor for the pupils should be able to describe a printer.

Pupil’s response – Follow the teacher’s instructions to print documents or images shown on the monitor.

Teacher’s remark – Computer printer prints images or documents on paper. Celebrate active participation and response to the teacher’s instructions. Discuss the meaning and uses of printer.

MEANING OF COMPUTER PRINTER

A Computer Printer is an output device that allows a user to print items on paper, such as letters and pictures.

 

USES OF COMPUTER PRINTER 

1. It is used for printing a text.

2. It is used for printing images or photos.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays a functional computer system for pupils to identify computer monitor and printer as input device.

 

 

Pupil’s Activities – Identify and describe computer monitor and printer.

3. Leads pupils to use computer monitor and printer as stated above.

  • Observe teacher’s activity.
