PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. read and write small letter k l m.

2. paint small letter k l m.

3. write some curves.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The children can read and write some alphabetical letters.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

3. Writing materials – books and pencils.

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s Activities – Place magnetic small letter k l m on the board and display chart of small letter k l m toy for the children identify the equivalent.

For examples,

This is small letter k. Show me small letter k.

Pupil’s Activities – This is letter k, l, m.

Teacher’s remark – Comments and give a great cheer for quick response.

 

READING SKILLS

Teacher’s Activities – Create activities that leads children to read after you the small letter k l m.

Pupil’s Activities – Reading small letter k l m

LESSON 2 – WRITING SKILLS

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guide the children to write small letter k l m by holding their hands to write if possible. Ensure that the children read as they write.

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides children to match small letter k l m toys with the magnetic small letter k l m on the board.
