PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. list the materials used for cleaning the body.

2. list the materials used for cleaning the body.

3. demonstrate the use of the different body care materials.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can identify some of the materials used for the care of the body and demonstrate how to use them.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

1. Illustrative chart or picture of body care.

2. Body care materials such as towels, brush, sponge, comb, body cream, etc.

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

MATERIALS USED FOR THE CARE OF THE BODY

1. Soap

2. Sponge

3. Water

4. Hair brush

 

5. Body and hair creams

6. Towel

7. Face powder, etc.

 

LESSON 2 – DEMONSTRATE HOW TO USE BODY CARE MATERIALS 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays sample of some of the body care materials.

3. Lets pupils examine each of the material.

4. Asks pupils to mention the name each of the materials displayed.

Pupil’s Activities –

  • Identify body care materials on display.
  • Describe the uses of each materials identified.

5. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Write as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
