CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY QUESTIONS 

Teacher’s Activities – Display chart showing food we get from plants and animals for the pupils to identify and classify as plants and animals food.

Pupil’s Activities – Yam, cassava, etc. are food we get from plants. While, egg, meat, fish, etc. are food we get from animals.

Teacher’s Activities – Correct. Food are items eaten by people and animals to live. Ask the pupils following following questions –

LESSON REVIEW

1. explain the meaning of food?

2. mention 5 examples of food eaten by people.

3. mention 5 examples of food eaten by animals.

4. give 5 examples of food we get from plants.

5. give 5 examples of food we get from animals.

6. state 2 reasons we eat food.

LESSON 2 – CHART OF FOOD WE GET FROM PLANTS AND ANIMALS

Guide the pupils to –

1. make a list of food we get from plants and animals on cardboard under the heading.

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides pupils to make a list of food we get from plants and animals.
