CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
When people dance, they perform simple movements such as clapping, stamping, jumping, turning, and waving their hands. These movements are repeated in different ways to make a complete dance. These repeated movements are called dance motifs.
In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of dance motifs, their applications, their importance, and practise performing simple dance motifs.
LESSON 1 – MEANING OF DANCE MOTIFS
A dance motif is a short movement or simple dance step that is repeated during a dance performance. It is the basic movement used to create a complete dance.

SUMMARY
