WEEK 3 – READING AND SIGHT WORDS: ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY
DEMOCRACY OR MILITARY RULE
An argumentative essay is a type of writing where the writer gives opinions and reasons to support one side of an issue.
Some people believe that democracy is better than military rule. In democracy, the people choose their leaders through elections. Citizens are free to speak, share their ideas, and take part in decision-making. Democracy also allows people to enjoy their rights, such as freedom of speech and freedom of movement.
On the other hand, military rule is when the army takes control of the government. Under military rule, citizens do not choose their leaders. The military makes laws, and people may not have freedom to express their opinions. This can make people feel afraid and unhappy.
In conclusion, democracy is better than military rule because it gives people freedom, allows them to choose their leaders, and helps the country grow peacefully.
