CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

Salvation means being rescued or saved from danger, sin or a situation that can cause harm. God is loving and merciful, and He wants people to be saved.

In the Bible, God saved many people from danger and difficult situations. He also sent Jesus Christ to save humanity from sin.

God’s salvation teaches us to trust Him, obey His Word, repent from wrongdoing and live according to His will.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF SALVATION

Salvation is the act of being saved or rescued from sin, danger, destruction or trouble.

In Christian teaching, salvation especially refers to God’s saving people from sin and bringing them into a right relationship with Him.

Jesus Christ is called the Saviour because God sent Him to save people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 teaches that Jesus would save His people from their sins.

HOW GOD SAVES

God saves people in different ways. He saves us by:

1. Forgiving our sins when we sincerely repent.

2. Sending Jesus Christ to save humanity from sin.

3. Protecting us from danger according to His will.

4. Providing our needs and helping us in times of trouble.

5. Giving us strength and courage during difficult situations.

6. Guiding us to make good and right decisions.

7. Listening to and answering our prayers according to His will.

LESSON 2 – HOW GOD SAVES HIS PEOPLE

God saves His people when they trust and obey Him. He saves them from sin, danger and trouble and guides them according to His will.

People should respond to God’s salvation by:

1. Repenting from sin.

2. Believing in Jesus Christ.

3. Obeying God’s Word.

4. Praying and trusting God.

5. Living a good and holy life.

God saves His people when they trust Him, obey Him and turn away from wrongdoing. Salvation does not mean that a person will never face difficulties. It means that God is able to help, protect and save His people according to His will.

EXAMPLES OF GOD’S SALVATION IN THE BIBLE

1. Noah: God saved Noah and his family from the flood because Noah obeyed God.

2. Israelites: God rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and led them through the Red Sea.

3. Daniel: God protected Daniel when he was thrown into the lions’ den.

4. David: God helped David defeat Goliath.

5. Humanity: God sent Jesus Christ to save people from sin.

Salvation is important because it:

1. Saves people from sin.

2. Brings forgiveness.

SUMMARY
